Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
Cheers guys I really appreciated your input..tires are a problem, I was told by the manufacturer that there are custom works tires that will fit..trouble is I can't find any..they also said Losi Slider tires will fit so I've ordered a set..I guess foam could be an option..I've put Hot Trick on my search options on ebay as well..thanks again..

Don't think the Losi Slider tires are gonna work for you. They need a groove to glue to or at least set in. They are wide though. What wheels are those? They look like they are gonna need some foam donuts...

Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
Yeah I thought that might be the case..the wheels are from http://www.rdent.com/sprint/sprintparts.html there are some pictures there of tires mounted on rims are they Slider tires?..I can't understand why someone would make rims that you can't get tires for..I asked them before I purchased them what tires fit it they said Street Works (which one) and Losi Slider (1/10)...anyway if all else fails foam it is..klavy69 wrote:Don't think the Losi Slider tires are gonna work for you. Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
well, the rims you have on the back of your car are for foams. there's no lips for a rubber tire bead to sit in.
you should've got the tires you wanted first. then, got the correct size rims to put them on. these would require a 2.0 x 1.0 front rim, and a 2.0 x 1.5 rear rim.

i don't know what size rims would be needed for the losi slider tires.

Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
The Losi Slider tires you mention are 2.0 size...a great addition to the 2.0 vintage stock of street/oval type tire for looks but wierd in the fact they released these in that size with only one other tire they still produce to fit the rears of these...maybe a prequel to more tires to choose from if these sliders take off. links to rear and front tires:

Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
Pete,
Nice work so far on the sprint, looks killer!!
I am building a few sprints right now and have had the same issues with tires that you are having. The old kyosho sideways tires are cool if you can find a set (long discontinued). The rears are the correct size for these and Advance wheels (2.0). Otherwise, I also ordered a set of losi sliders and I think they look really good mounted. They will work great for a shelf sprint to get a good realistic look. I will try and post some pics later tonight of the different options I have found.

Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
Yep mine will be a shelfer so I'm only after the right look...if you know what I mean..I have some sideways tires and they are a different diameter than the rims I have...if you are after a set (see Pic) let me know and I'll list them in the buy/sell section....there is a 4th wheel I just need to find it..railey72 wrote:Pete,

Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
Here are some of the options I have found so far. Losi slider tires, advanced grand prix and slicks, kyosho sideways, proline 2.0 strikers.
Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
Bottom picture, back row, second from left-what are those? The first one in that row looks good too.
Thanks
