I would personally love to see an AE slash copy, high center of gravity, long chassis. Basically just use AE shocks and tranny with Slash copies of everything else.

Would be REALLY cool if the rims/tires would be interchangeable.

Doubt it.
i really hope the sc8 gets cheaper. i'd have one if it wasnt so darn expensive.

an ae slash fighter would definitely be cool. especially if they put the detail into it that makes the sc8 so scale looking compared to the slayer.

I would hope so! I can't see AE making the same mistake twice! :D I even think that Traxxas now knows what sells and what doesn't. I can't imagine the Slayer coming anywhere close to as many sales the Slash at the same point in time from the release of both of them.

I looked at buying an SC8 last month..with the exchange rate and shipping I was looking at $1250-1300..I may as well buy something I can sit in for that money..

Ruhh Roh Raggy, I'm guessing $300 street price and 4wd based off a TC4 or some POS thundertiger

Regardless of price or 2WD or now, everyone who has a slash for spec racing will balk at allowing a new truck into the class. Even if it had the identical motor\tire compound, etc.....

yup cause they know an associated will outperform a traxxas. Thats all we need is more classes  I love the slash, we have 14 a night at the indoor track and anyone can win that can wheel. maybe this will make a pro4 electric class. That would be cool too

I would allow it with open arms into a slash class, provided the following:

weight, width, length are similar
electronics are comparable
tire size/compound is similar
gear diff

(keeping SPEC in mind)

for "open" or "mod" CORR...gloves are off, anything goes after the first line.

Someone will always scream....not fair!

I think if they are trying to compete with the Slash, they will have to come in at 199$ RTR It can be done too....

i'm hoping 300 buck range, and b44 based...

it would be silly for them to try and take over the slash scene, unless they figure they can do it cheaper, which we all know is impossible.

Yeah, I don't know what angle they might be trying for. Try to make a close copy that it can be allowed to run with the Slash's (then be called just a Slash Copy) And still have local track arguments over if it can run together or not.

Or make a 4WD platform for a little bit more, and see if they can get a new class started, and dominate that. I'm thinking it would be too much of a gamble to try to get into the Slash SPEC Class for AE.

I'm gonna say.....249>299$ RTR B44 based plastic tub chassis truck. With mud flaps.

I'm still gonna get a Slash.....I have one in shipment currently....Wife owes me an X-mas present since I returned that 211$ Ryobi drill

(I just have not informed her yet....)
