i'm pretty sure that c.c. tower would be too wide. the andy's tower is taller, but narrow like a buggy, if i remember right. i'd have to look a the pic of hoopty's car.

I asked myself exactly the same question when building my Andy's trailing arm kit with a stock rear shock tower, normal shocks are way too long to make the necessary down and up travel, so I asked Hoopty and Coxy-Ben to compare a stock ST to a what I thought would be a longer Andy's ST... answer was definitely yes they're different! Then I thought I could use front truck shocks with inner spacers at the rear while waiting for a proper long Andy's (and I'm pretty sure they also made a shorter one too)... but then the problem is that a body shell would have to be cut out at the rear because of the longer Andy's rear ST... decisions, decisions...

take a look here: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=490

now look at the original box depicted, there were 2 types of shock towers included in the kit it seems, would be great to see the original instructions... anyone :?:

well, they look like the 1.02's to me. and with your measure ment, it pretty much confirmed it. right now, i'm at 3 1/4" center to center. i think i'll have to try some .89 bodies. i'm pretty sure that the .89 shock kits use a .71 shaft. so, that might still be too short. :?
