I was at Hobbytown by my work in Corona today, and they have a stack of Slash RTR kits for 199.99.

In a week or so I am going to take my .09 Mini Inferno to Pegasus on a sunday and see if the dirt track can handle it

You guys better watch out too, carloco8 was tearin' up the track tonight!!
When do you guys hit the track? Do you both do it together frequently? (homo-erotic interpretation unintentional)
LOL :D Saturday is the "club race" day, usually when I venture out to the track and likely the same for JK. More locals ought to stop by and check out the racing! As for practice days, I recommend Sundays since the track is still freshly groomed from saturday maintenance and racing. Otherwise it ruts up over the course of a week from little to no maintenance and the larger cars that beat on it. Track is open for practice till 11pm on Wed.

i never raced before the ct vintage nats. i was really intimidated at first but it was a blast. A TOTAL BLAST.

my best advice is spend as much time as you can getting practice laps. better yet go a few times before the actual race so its not so darn intimidating...

i would also reco lipo/brushless too if its possible.

no budget for lipo and brushless. I planned on going out there and practicing, it about 50 miles from my house. Im painting my body tomarrow, then doing a photo shoot before it gets all dirty.

Did the folks at Pegasus ever decide on a date for this race? I plan to be out that way sometime over the next few weeks and I'd like to attend the race if the timing works out.

That place is really awesome, I wish I could visit there again and/or there was a track close to me like that.

Change of plans.. I am going to help out the other trans tech on my day off, by picking up a will-call converter from another dealer for a trans he is putting together tomorrow, so he can get paid (This pay period)

Sorry guys...

Hopefully some info comes in otherwise.

Well....still no firm date. I have decided to push forward on my LXT build and toss it in the fray a few times with the current stock trucks, just to show that old guys can still race old cars (hopefully I wont be as bad as I think I will be). I just have everything to do still.....shocks, turnbuckles, clean it up, brushless system....

So I talked to the race director (okay a couple weeks ago, I've been busy....)

Looks like they WANT to have a vintage race, but are having scheduling conflicts with a Losi sponsored dirt oval race. They want to get the Losi race taken care of first.

In speaking with him, he wants to get this Vintage race done, and try to have a once a month vintage meeting.

I've got my LXT almost complete, just need tires and my body back from my painter. I will post pics as soon as I get the body back.

Sure wish I could make the VONATS2, I would love it.

Any updates on this race? I was just at Pegasus for the first time last weekend. (Shot up there after RCX on Sunday). I went around back and watched some guys practicing and the whole time I was thinking how cool it would be to have a Vintage Nats race there!! I hadn't even seen this thread yet. Now that I've stumbled across this I'm sort of glad it hadn't happend yet. I thought I missed it by only a few weeks when I started reading this thread......

I sure hope this is still a possibility!! :D I'll definitely be there!!!

I went the Sunday after RCX from about 2 to 3:30... damn hot!

My Inferno 09 was like a mosquito on that track. Took out my clutch. Grrrr.

Bought a Slash RTR at RCX Saturday, and left it at home
