Anthony, I've got some Duratrax white rear wheels for foams that are NIP that you can have if you want them. Just lemme know.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

anthony, as an FYI, i tossed a set of CW rims on my junior-t. the track width is 9 1/2" front and rear with the arms level. so, a CW Eldora, Mcallister Bakersfield or Vegas 10" bodies would sit on there nicely.

Re: Losi Oval Build, some pix and some ?'s
Thanks for the info scr8p. Jay, thanks for the offer, but I think I am going to go with the custom works or rc4less tires as that is what they run at the local track.
I'll probably stop by kippshobbies.com (which is my local track/shop) and see what they recommend compound wise.

Re: Losi Oval Build, some pix and some ?'s
A whole month and finally something to update.
I got some custom works foams mounted. I needed to put a set of .2" spacers on the rear axle to get the rear spaced out evenly with the front, overall is about 9.75" front and rear.
The body is a kippshobbies.com #K1009 USOWC Legal Eastern Dirt Modified Body. It is mounted in 6 spots, and I did not have to drill a single hole in the chassis to do it. The rear is mounted with the jrx't rear mount cut down to the lowest setting. The middle posts are just mounted in the forwarrd hole for the 5-link side bulkheads.
The front mount was the most work. I drilled up thgrough the steering posts and tapped 4-40 threads. I ruined 2 posts before getting it right. I tried to tap from the bottom up so that I could just use really long 4-40 flat head screws to tie everything together, but the tap was about 1/16" too short. I figured I could just wing it with a long screw for the last couple threads, but of course I snapped the bolt off inside the post. Then I snapped a tap on the next one(It was getting tired and did not cut like it used to and i tried to go too fast with it).
The body posts are attached to the steering posts with 4-40 studs, they seem secure, but I will probably wind up putting some loc-tite on the studs to keep them from vibrating off.

looks good, did you get one of kippy's cool front nosewings to go with it?

Thanks, and yes, but honestly I'm not sure which end is up or how it is supposed to mount.wyldbill wrote:looks good, did you get one of kippy's cool front nosewings to go with it?

I think I'll have to fab up a bumper plate for it to mount to and to use that in place of the losi bumper on there now.

Looks sweet. Love to see them run.
What's up with the first picture, I'm seeing some ghosting/blurring, in front of the car? Digital?
