I like it C.d.s. I was thinking that the color of the chassis was going to throw it off but I think it ties it all together...but then I'm into non-mainstream things  .

I ended up with a t2 body on my t since I didn't have a t body but its not a perfect fit. The rear body posts don't fit down in the 'valley' the best. They are right at the edge of the uprights but it will do for now. As for the rest it fits just right.

If you buy the RPM adjustable body mounts, then you'll be able to mount the body post on the inner most holes in the mounts and you'll be dead on where you need to be.

still too new to vintage to know which ones you are talking about. Do you have pix or a link to the adjustable rpm rear body mounts to clue me in? It would be good knowledge for my next one. The holes were allready in the body for this one so I'll have to see if I can find a set for a new one. Thanx

I can snap a pic tomorrow, they are just like the stockers--but have a 2nd set of holes for
a wider mount, i'd say about 3/8" wider for stability (or a t2 body)

It was that article (very first RCCA I bought) that got me hooked on AE.

Nice build!

Recently a former board member sold his replica on the bay...

that guy is an idiot. i think the truck sold for 400? or something like that. waaay to low for something like that. he's now selling a worlds car with a "replica?" rcps body for 600-1000 dollars? i don't see what's the big deal on the worlds car? the chassis and the body are probably the only things most desired in that kit.

10T body is next up to be repro'd for anyone thats really interested.

Ya Reg. I just found this thread now. I do have that truck and it will be on display at the race. I had to replace some of the electronics bc when I got it they wre a little different but I have everything except the m1c (I in fact DO have the extra FET ... how cool is that). I have his radio and everything else is in there and the truck itself is rebuilt as close to original as possible (considering it was raced for about a year or 2). Def one of the nicest things in my collection.

@ erich: definitely worth a repro. i would take two.

there was a picture somewhere in the forum with some proline/protoform bodies for the rc10t (kind of nissan body or chevy body). the chevy body that i'm thinking of had a boxy 80's shape, blue red white paintsceme and the red was painted like a lighning or so. pretty coll . i'd like to see that again (and even more i'd love to get my hands on one of these bodies) too bad i don't find it. anyone?

I'd like to see the toyota "ironman" body repro'd it had the cool looking front fenders, I'm not sure who made it. Hot bodies or proline

hi bearrickster, did you get that decal sheet with the toyota body?
i'd like to order one from the rockcrawler guys but without decals i wont.
just have to fit it to my rc10t. i assume i'll have to find a different
type of rear shock tower to use shorter shocks for that one.
