Another question.... I can't find on Cross or anywhere else for that matter, the Tag Leyland and JPS body in the below photo. Those two are my fav 1/12 Tamiya F1 cars, I have the TAG, but no JPS.

That 1/12th shell is made for 1/12th pan cars, so has a wheelbase of 195-200mm so is too short for the 959 chassis. Unfortunately for you the Tamtech one is about the same dimensions.
mrlexan wrote:There is another one I ran across in 1/10 scale, but I can't find the pic. It is also on TC somewhere.... Terry prob knows.
Don't recall a 1/10th 934 Dakar, but there's the 959 1/10th scale bodies made by TC member Ballistic Brushless that fit on the DF02 and DF03

The Lotus uses a body made by Zen http://www.rc-zen.com/z0001.html and I'm sure the FW07 is/was made rather than being a modified Lotus 79 or the Tamiya one.

Those Blade shells do look good. Their website: http://www.blade-racing.com

I quite fancy the Blade Peugeot 905 myself.

Please! Stop this nonsense. I spent most of the day yesterday looking through Japanese Tamiya F1 websites that I couldn't even read... :?

in all your travels, Doug, did you find where that dual shock conversion (or OE) model can be found? That chassis, a prototype body and insane power sound like the great combination for road rocket. If we all get together, maybe we can save on overseas shipping?

I can't say I have seen a dual shock conversion for the GT. Was it front or rear? I have been looking mostly at the F1 chassis. This one is what I have been obsessing over...

Yeah, I have one of the Ballistic bodies, I really like it. Nice work for sure. This was the other I was thinking about, from Emmanuel...... I just can't remember who he sold it to.

it was a F1 chassis from one of the links yesterday ... I figure a prototype body would fit just fine over it.

Yeah, from what I could gather with the ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US translations is that it's completely custom fabricated. It's beyond cool, though, IMO. I'd love to see something like that available.

I thought I saw some one that sold the bellcranks, but who knows. I was just excited to see similar technology to my 1:1!

They have scratch built a chassis (love the battery holder - why don't we have a drool emoticon  ) basically mating a complete Tamiya F201 front end to a Tech Racing TF108 rear pod with everything in between custom made.

Why don't we see more of this type of custom work outside Japan? The rest of the world just seems to buy a kit then slap on whatever hop up parts the company tells them they need.

Thanks for the info, Terry. If I had a better equipped shop and better fabrication skills I'd definitely be making cool bits and pieces.
