Awesome pics Keith!

I'm also digging that Buick GN in the background of the second pic too. 8)

This was the body Doug painted with Testors Model Paint. All the logo's were done by hand on the outside with a brush.
We quickly found out WHY you don't paint lexan with model paint, didn't we? Not a bad job by a dumb 14-year old kid with a few paint brushes, eh? That body looks better than my memory even gave credit for.

Too cool.

:D

Probably taking the pictures. :D

In the photo of Keith, you can see my CAT body on the table in front of him. Seriously OLD school, when you can BOTH pit on a small table like that at an outdoor race track. :)

While mocking him for buying Hot Trick parts no doubt? Hahaha

That Dahm's body looks awesome on that CAT. You have excellent paint skills...

Oh yeah, I always made fun of Hot Trick stuff. I think to this day, I'm not sure if I ever owned anything HT. I don't think I did.

That car wasn't too horrible. It was flexible, but it worked pretty well. And at that time, you really only knew about stuff when the magazines told you about them (ads) or when the guy at the hobby shop recommended something.

In those days, you really had to buy the stuff to find out what was good and what was garbage. ;) At that point, I was too busy trying to figure out how to make a 4wd car work to pay too much attention to any 2wd cars out there. :)

How well did you do with the CAT? I am surprised you had one of those as a kid, a bit expensive and not too mention, hard to get (when compared to today's world). I wanted one sooooo bad back then.
