Let me join everyone else here and say that your chassis restoration is indeed a very nice job. I love 'before' and 'after' pictures. That's on heck of a job there scra8p!

thanks again guys. now that i know the 3M bonding works like a champ, i have an old raborn oval chassis that's next on the repair list. at a race years ago, we were practicing before the heats started. i hopped a guys rf with my lr, and as the car went up on it's side, facing across the track, it got hammered by a bbt sprinter, with the nice twin tube front bumper. it took a nice size chunck out of the bottom of the chassis, along side of battery slots. it also has a couple of extra holes that'll need to be filled, too. i'll get to that one when the spirit moves me.

Hey scr8p, so what are your plans for this thing, original parts or full on aftermarket? Shelfer or runner?

whatever parts i got layin around.

i know i definately want to use a trailing arm setup. as for all the other parts, i don't know. i guess i'll just have to see what kind of stuff i can come up with. it probably won't be anything extravegant, just a nice rc10. but, ya never know..........
i always say i'm gonna drive the cars after i'm done building them, but it almost never happens. i only have one that i don't care about. that's the one, after i get a hold of a video camera, it's gonna do an "evil kenevil" off a nice ramp at a local skate park.

i got some parts in the mail today, which made me very happy. so, i started mocking up the chassis somewhat. i'm not sure what i want to do about the shock towers. i'll probably throw them in the pot next time i dye a bunch of parts. we'll see.
i'm still unsure if i like the finish i put on the chassis. that might be getting changed, too.

the direction of this build has changed. now i want to find out just how strong that repair section is. i got an andy's chassis in a trade, so all of the andy's parts that were on this chassis are now on that one. so, i switched everything from my sacaficial rc10 on to this one, since the tub was quite tweaked anyway.
i definately don't plan on being gentle.
