I did something similar on my KF2 gear diff. I filled an old case with Flitz metal polish and ran the diff with a drill to let the gears polish themselves.

Just watch that it doesn't get to warm. Not sure of their composite...could get soft and mess some stuff up

Little more done, still hunting for the Jr2 arms and some Losi xx/xxx era springs. I'll have some Factory Works towers, chassis brace and steering on it pretty soon. Should have a 21.5 setup in a few weeks. Paint this weekend
Put the Losi 2021/2038 hubs in for better wheel clearance over the Jrx2 hubs, which are period correct either way

Looking good. I love how those gold shocks look.
If you aren't planning on using the Protoform Ripper X CR body and would consider selling it, I would be very interested. I've been hunting for an original for a while.

My VONATS paint transferred over the the JRX Pro body pretty well, of course I made the windows twice their molded size-
The problem is the Flourescent yellow Losi decals I have are too small....and so I'm going to put off what I'm going to do eventually...
But I do hate cutting into an uncut original sheet

Big thanks to 8rad for some 3.5# front springs and very nice Jrx front arms! Need to find some yellow and pink rear springs, but this is coming along now!

Little goodie from Factory Works- many more things going to be coming from Jeff soon for this-
Going to try an old school 1/12 scale trick for high torque-low RPM motors and see what it does too

Just a little more. Mounted some fresh tires to break in, thanks to Teshreve I have 99% of the springs and extra shocks I was looking for (like to be able to just swap entire shock packages into the car during testing). Still have more to go

Jconcepts Mono 2.2 RC10 bearing front, Jconcepts Mono B6 rear with 8mm wide clamping hexes.
Shakes out with stock geometry in the rear, width adjustable by 1/8" up front using the Custom Works +/- inline axels which have always been perfect copies of Losi alumminium Jrx series axels!
