...which reminds me, I found a couple more pictures to add to it. 
Was wondering when dyed nylon would pop up. Half expected it to be at the top of the list.
Another mod that occurred to me... oil... whatever WD40, Slick50, Hi Karate goo people put on tires to try and soften them... and then just leave them until they're wilting under the chemical reaction to the point they won't hold their own shape....
...erm, should that have gone in the grumpy old man thread???
