I agree totally. Gearbox and shock parts is all I would be interested in.

GoMachV wrote: Mon Oct 30, 2023 3:33 pm Yep and all along it kinda felt like a lie but I guess now we know the molds still exist
Their website says something like, "we shot the molds in clear polycarbonate.."

Is "shooting the molds" industry standard slang for injection molding?

Or do they mean they shot the "molded" parts in clear poly with a printer?

They look too clear to have been though.

My take is shooting the molds is injecting the shot (plastic pellets) into the mold.

I immediately thought it was molded because of the little "R" in the pic. If it was a one off print, I wouldn't think it would have that detail.

Looking back, lost or stolen molds really isn't a valid excuse for discontinuing production. The RC10's nylon parts are small and simple so replacement molds could have been easily and cheaply made.
Anyway, AE needs to get back into the re-re game. I have a couple re-re Worlds cars but I'd really like a "Classic" kit -- or ten. Opening the box and building a new RC10 kit would be such a nice trip back in time.

That is some serious Billet Aluminum on the suspension. Looks like gas powered. Rear Tires are custom - super cool!

I’d be more interested if they actually released versions of their worlds winning buggies. Looks like they have them on display in the background of full size buggy shots. Anyone get pics of the line up on display?

I assumed the suspension was going to be assembled using "E" clips.
