Looking great! This is making me want to put some electronics in mine.
Do it! Just don't enter yours in the same build of the month as I do. I don't want you taking all the votes for anyone who would vote for a Pro XRT just because one shows up to the party
Which old school Le Mans motor that will make it's way in was decided today. There's vintage Novak and Futaba electronics currently waiting to be mounted. Now I'm patiently waiting for AM crystals to arrive.
Suppose I should start on the mold for the repo XRT body.

New XRT wheels & caps on, camber and tow set, and shocks mounted.
Anyone know anywhere that sells spring collars for 10mm shocks. I'd like to get the really thin ones so they're not so noticeable up against the white shock clamps.

The spring retainers/perches for the Traxxas 2600 series big bore shocks are pretty slim and unassuming. These are the OG big bores not the MAXX trucks ones that are like 8 inches long.
They come in the 2668 spring retainer pack. Two trees per pack. So you'd have to buy 2 to get 4 upper spring retainers. BUT I am unsure of the diameter of the "Big Bore" shocks!
EDIT: I found the O.D. of the body being reported as 0.5" and/or 13mm.

If you can find them, B4 locators should be close enough. That is what I used on some Duratrax shocks, which are similar.

You bet, that's what I've been on the lookout for. And of course as soon as I make a post about it, I find them this morning.

As far as tires, I plan on Schumacher Vee 2 for the rear, but fronts are undecided. I was thinking JConcepts Carvers or Schumacher Stagger Rib. What are some other good choices for front stadium truck tires?

That stagger rib is a good looking tire. I just bought two sets, stadium truck and short course.

Much thanks to Ed for the white spring retainers/locators that look great resting up against his shock clamps. Much better than the large black spring retainers pictured in the previous post.

The fitment literally couldn't be better. Very pleased.

Did notice when installing the spring cups that the original blue shock O-rings, while still visually in good condition, leak more than I'm comfortable with. So need to replace them.

Some electronics progress today. Shortened up the servo wire, it was ridiculously long. Cleaned up and installed the ESC & receiver. Next is to rebuild & install the motor, also waiting for tires.

Freshened up 240S. All new Kyosho springs, Trinity brushes, bearings, 19T single armature and MCI decal. I bought this motor on ebay and it unfortunately came with a double wind armature, the 240S is a 19T single motor. I came across a brand new Trinity/Epic 19x1 armature so I picked it up for this motor. Not exactly correct but at least it's now the correct turns and winds.

Electronics done and working smoothly. Just need to find the ideal place to mount the ESC on/off switch.
