Any plans to post the 3D printed files?

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project
I hadn't thought about it. I usually don't upload my files because they are for very specific uses. Most of the printed parts for this build really would only fit this chassis setup with the plate trimmed in specific locations. I haven't documented the templates I used for the trimming.

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project
Cool, thanks. I'm trying to pick out a body for my buddy's RC10 Team car. The original "viper" body looks like a 13 year old was bashing it in the backyard in the mid '90s. Weird

I personally like the Sabula produced Turbo Mirage bodies.

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project
I'm putting together a kit for a friend that wanted one to try out at a track. He convinced me to add some side skirts to mostly match the shape of the the gold pan tub so he could attach the body with Velcro insted of drilling holes in it. The kit is just about ready to send his way. I just need to pick out the screws he will need.
. I'm thinking about doing a limited run of a couple of assembled buggies too. They might pop up here on BST in a couple of weeks.

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project
Minor update. I didn't like the double stack nose tubes holding the servo hostage so I'm moved them to the sides. It makes a little more servo linkage space too, although there was already enough for full steering throw.

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project
Working on a tubeless front brace and improved bellcrank mounting that lowers the height a bit.

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project
What do you mean?
Just wait for the next non-tub project...

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project
Front end update is ready. Separating the nose bracing from the servo mount bracket is a good thing.

While the car is cool, I mostly gave it a thanks because you were at "666".Frankentruck wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 3:42 pm Front end update is ready. Separating the nose bracing from the servo mount bracket is a good thing.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project
With the flat machined chassis plate, I wonder how the car's total weight compares to a stock RC10.
Anyway, the printed tub sides are the icing on the cake. I like it!

I'll see what the weight difference is. My printed parts outweigh the original nylon parts.
