On a different note I've always been curious on Associated history with slot cars, which I've never seen any info on. Seeing those slot cars as well is pretty cool, maybe some day someone could shed some light on AE's early pre RC days...

This body was painted by Mike Ogle. He is an amazing painter and artist. He made so many great ads for AE.
Regarding the early Slot Car part of AE, Associated made all kinds of Slot Car parts and bodies. One of my first jobs working at AE was gluing, mounting and grinding rear slot car tires. The first time I ever went to AE in Paramount with my dad, before he was partner, Roger Curtis walked us around the shop. I thought it was the coolest place ever. I got to see them pulling slot car bodies on the vac-u-form machine. They also painted the slot car bodies as well. Roger gave me an HO scale body on my tour.
I actually still have a couple HO scale body molds.
One one the last Slot Car items we produced was the guides and guide brushes. I know personally I had to have made 10 to 20 thousand of them.
RC picked up more and took more time away from slot cars. We gradually stopped making slot stuff. I’ll see if I can find the HO body molds.

While we got you here....
Would that have been Associated Slot Racing Products or was that just a similarly named company?

Regarding the Associated Slot Racing Prod header cards, I'm not really sure so I reached out to Roger Curtis. He will let me know. This is somewhat before my time.
Here is a picture of the HO slot car vac-u-form molds that I still have. Porsche 917, Ti 22 and a VW bug. The full size slot car is a Gene Husting tribute car. A modern era slot car made by Al Chuck. He had it painted to match my dads RC body paint scheme. Slot cars have come a long ways. So fast

Alright so clearly the current truck the body is on is a later RC10T. I’m looking to have it set up more closely to the truck that was in the truck of the year article.
So here’s my starting point.
Looks to be a very gently used team truck. That being said it will receive a carbon trans brace. The bottom of the tub is very nice but it does have some battle scars.
I’m considering having it powder coated red like Cliff’s ST was because I’ve always wanted that truck ever since the first time seeing the RCCA article on it.
I’d also like to use 3 piece white wheels instead of the team truck one piece so it has the proper look.
I do know it’ll be a bit of a mashup but I think in the end with that beautiful body, it’ll be the T I’ve always wanted.

Looks like a great starting point! Curious to see your progress... I’ve also always wanted a “Cliff” red RC10T.
