no, as with real fwd drag cars it actually uses the bars to transfer weight. When the tires expand slightly it takes the weight off the rear tires making the wheelbase effectively change. Puts more force on the front wheels.

That makes sense, so it acts like a chassis stiffener to keep the front tires planted. I never would've thought of that.
