Nice Cat Bormac. The XLS was the best looking cat by far.

Would you by any chance have a spare SPXL chassis you would part with?

Jason

I see you've finally got it cleaned up and the saddle pack chassis attached. I only got the chassis as a 99p bid a couple of years ago. Now seeing how great the car looks I wish I hadnt sold it at all but then I've sold everything else off with the arrival of my baby soon.

Regards
Varma

Ps did you get the body sorted out??

Hello Varma.
You know its funny. I nearly traded this car along with another 2 cars in parts to Darryn (retro r/c) for an Optima at one point. Not that I dont like Optima's but this CAT is a great looking (and soon to be driving) vintage buggy. I dont mind the body work at all. Sure its a little battered but it looks fine by me. I certainly took my time with this rebuild. I stripped down all of my CAT's then began meticulously cleaning everything. All the bearings got a really thorough clean and re-lubed with INOX. Ive just finished wiring up the car and given it a drive out on the street. Ive fitted a whisper slipper spur and it sounds perfect.
I dont expect the car to handle that well with these tyres but i just have to give it a shot. Im off to the track on Saturday for some practice and will get some updated pics while Im there.

I love these old Cats they have more character then newer cars.
My opinion on the shelf queen or runner debate is there are plenty of
well used parts to drive around and the more rare parts that still look unused
are best left unused.Does any one else agree with me or am I talking crap.
