That looks really good on a graphite car.

This is now my setup for astroturf:
-NIX63231 MJF-bulkhead made by i.materialise.com
-ASC9826 gearbox
-B6 Gear Diff
-CustomWorks 3241 rear hubs (It's like RPM '91 conversion hub)
-Stock rere-RC10 Worlds axles, bones and spacers.
-Stock rere-RC10 Worlds arms and inner mounts
-Stock rere-RC10 Worlds rear shocks with just 1 shim inside the shock.

Setup is now pretty much perfect, only thing I would like to improve a little is on power steering, or the lack of it. I seem to be overly cautious with the car as I don't want to break it but it still is much faster than I thought it would be. And very easy and predictable to drive. Gear diff is working really well on astroturf.

And when I gave it to hands of "local senior junior", a frequent a-finalist, it really showed some potential. Here are his first ever laps with the car:

And here's some lap time comparisons with his B6.1. Not bad as this is the first time in 20 years he's been running a rear motor car and took it a bit easier than with his own car. Graphite on the left, B6.1 on the right.

I would assume that since the GT trans shares the same diff gear with the B4, that the gear diff will fit the GT?

How’s everyone getting on with this part?

Anyone ran the car on carpet with this set up?

I’ve snagged a B4.1 gear diff today on eBay so will get a gearbox built up for this conversion part

I still think it’s great! Combined with Niki’s rear arm mounts, traxxas arms, and b4.2 hexes it’s a superb handling package. I have only run the car on turf but see no reason why it wouldn’t work on carpet also.

You will be surprised how good gear diff is on these cars. At least I was. It’s not easy to remove the diff for maintenance but what’s the rush with old cars.

If needed, you can easily shim the gearbox up to get diff gear just above chassis. Or make a small groove to chassis.

Niki I have had my conversion part arrive and I am going to go with the gear diff gearbox, i will dremel the case but does the gear clear the chassis or do you need to raise the whole transmission or dremel the chassis a little?
