Re: Ultima 2019
Do you think your order will come from Kyosho's warehouse or will you have to wait for stock to arrive at amain before they ship it out? If it comes direct from Kyosho then yours might ship tomorrow (Friday Nov 1st) along with any ebay orders place today.
I wonder why they're accepting orders through ebay but not directly from kyoshoamerica.com?
All of the re-released cars I've ordered so far came directly from Kyosho since they offer free shipping and don't charge sales tax -- or, at least they haven't so far.

Re: Ultima 2019
I am pretty sure they will come through Amain.
We don’t have sales tax in Oregon- one of the few positive things lol. It’s getting crazy tho, I’m going to have to start running everything through eBay just so they can collect taxes for me. It’s a nightmare to try to figure out on my own, every state is different and I become a bank
no thanks

Re: Ultima 2019
Just ordered mine from Kyosho America off ebay. I've been on the waiting list on Kyosho's website but haven't heard anything. Still have a Turbo Optima to build but couldn't wait to get my hands on the Ultima.

I remember seeing a prototype World's version of this car with a double decker CF chassis (I think it was '89); maybe time for a replica. This is right up your alley Doug;-)

Re: Ultima 2019
Ah, so yours is one of the 3 they've sold so far - as such, you could be one of the first in North America to receive the new car.
Anyway, I haven't heard anything from Kyosho yet either. Makes me wonder if their waiting list process even works.
I'm holding out until the car becomes available direct from Kyosho because I'd also like to order some new Ultima parts for my LWB runner build. I'd like to capture everything with one order if possible.
EDIT: Literally, 2 minutes after I submitted this post I received an email from Kyosho. Still no parts yet.

Re: Ultima 2019
I just spoke to customer service; the US office only received kits and no parts (no spares or option parts). Apparently, parts can be ordered separately from the Japan facility. They are expecting parts to begin arriving in the US in 2-3 weeks.
Guess I'll just wait a little longer so I can order everything at once.

Re: Ultima 2019
Awesome! I live in Alabama and shipments from the west usually arrive ahead of schedule so you'll probably receive your order on Wednesday.
Anyway, I went ahead and order a kit from Kyoshoamerica.com. I can borrow the parts I need to finish the LWB build from the kit and replace those parts when they become available.
Also, I've just received a courtesy call from Kyosho telling me that my order will ship today via Fedex, that I'll receive a tracking number and that it will require a signature. I live in a relatively safe neighborhood and receive packages all the time so I asked if I could opt out of the signature requirement and they said that I couldn't. They explained that there's been too many reported incidents of packages being stolen from customer's doorsteps so the signature is mandatory.

Re: Ultima 2019
If you log in to FedEx a lot of times you can have it held locally- I have my items held at the grocery store just up the road. Then I can pick up at my leisure.

Same here -- "Wednesday by the end of the day".
It's in Shawnee OK at the moment.
Eager to see if trans is pre-assembled and how the critical dimensions for the new parts compare to the vintage ones.
