Derek tested the tall gear today and new tires. It was epic to watch. Had to be doing 50 plus mph. Gear was so tall the slipper couldnt go 1 to 1 until about 75% speed was achieved. Sounded like a 2 speed almost. Unreal performance. Cool old truck for sure!

Current state...went with a vintage electric start conversion kit...still a daily driver!

They are actually really really nice tires...Hoosiers...but it still got squirly with the OS .12 red head so went back to this .12 CZ ...and I had to drop 2 teeth on the clutchbell to get it to fit with the electric starter...real nice driver!...no crazy speeds anymore

A couple of weeks ago a guy had this kit on ebay. Still brand new in the box and even had a new aftermarket stabilizer bar for this truck. I had the guy send me a few extra pics and sure enough it was a complete unopened kit. I kicked my self in the A$$ for not bidding on it. I thought it would sell for a bit more than the almost $500 final bid.
