Let me fix my location too....

JK I'm down to check out JBRL on the 30th. I still don't have a car that actually runs yet though. Currently I've got 2 shelfer's and a bunch of parts.

Anyone know who is opening that new track in Huntington? Is it the same people that ran SoCal?

The JBRL is a series of races here and around SoCal area. Not vintage. Lots of sponsored drivers, tons of fun, giveaways, an absolute riot. Most races draw 200+ entries. I will be racing my RB5 and ZX5, stock and modified respectively. You get points and the top 10 in each class (if you attend 5 of 8 races) take home ca$h. Really a blast, but they are really long days, I usually show up before 6 am and leave after 7~8 pm each race. Depending on where they are (Bakersfield  ) I could be leaving the house @ 2 am that morning.

JP, I always bring extras if you REALLY want to race. A B4 RTR and a couple sets of tires for it. Batteries would be the struggle, but in a pinch, I can scrounge up enough to run all day.

On the new track:
One of the racers that used to run @ SoCal Raceway is starting this new track from scratch, from what I am reading, he will use the dirt from the old SoCal and maybe the pit tables?

Jedi mind tricks might not be working, but Ed is from Nottingham, UK.

No special mind reading needed, it's listed in his Tamiyaclub profile

So there's no reason to keep it missing in your profile ed.

JK, that's awful kind of you. I appreciate your offer and will contemplate it.

I skimmed the post on RCTech and noticed that they were gonna use SoCal's clay. I told a friend of mine and I know I'll be spending some time down there.

Now, if they could only open another hobby shop in so cal so I don't have to go to Ultimate. That would be cool.
