I think I might just keep it for now, maybe I'll find a deal on another yellow kit, and then have spares, unless someone on here needs it! It'd be better off being used on one of your folk's buggies then in my spares drawer!
As for the paint stripping, I have a bent RC10GT Anodized arm I was going to test the simple green on first, and then on some spare anodized RC10 parts to see if age has anything to do with it.

Can I suggest that if you're gonna run it, to pick a full new steering kit from Jeff? It makes a world of a difference vs. the crappy original AE steering

I will look into that! So long as It fits my budget. I'm in the wrong hobby to be using that word, but i do manage pretty well with the limited amount of funds i have.
Also i may ask, Who is Jeff? Would you mind telling me their screenname so i can send them a PM?
Could I just do this here instead?

Working on getting a Stealth Tranny. Then put some B4 parts in it. Hopefully that'll hold up to a old school hipo brushed system, or a Chinese 10.5T Brushless. To convert from 6 gear to Stealth, do I only have to drill two holes? Or are there more?
After the Stealth I plan on doing some tuning, getting it dialed in. Then I guess...drive! And take all the spare parts and build up another RC10! Jeez this is addicting...
Is it possible to blueprint these motors like my Slot Car ones? Aka, The same principle? I've blueprinted a few motors for a Stock slot class, although now I just need to drive better!

I’m excited to see this. Ive got a rc10 championship edition that is near stock. Bought it new, ran it for maybe 6 months then put it away for almost 20 years. I updated installed a new motor & esc about 4 years ago. Also updated to a 2.4g transmitter and receiver.
Not sure what else I should do but I’m interested to see what you do & how it goes.

More parts! Bought even more supplies for this Restomod.
Stickers!! I love these, and these are for sure going on the body once I'm done with it.
2 Speed Kit. Since I'm mainly going to be toying around with this at first, and I have a nice and long, (and flat!) concrete driveway, I figured I'd convert it. My 2 Speed Revo was quite fast. We'll see how this performs, at the worst I paid $9 for a cool piece for a shelf car.
JG Truck Body mounts. Another thing that was so cheap I figured I'd get it, may or may not use these.

Nice collection of parts
Gearboxes look good but aren't that meaningful on electric motors, really
Gearboxes were designed to mitigate the fact that IC engines have no lo-end torque and only wake up at high revs. Electric motors is the other way around - too much torque at low rev (max torque at 0rpm actually!) and less at high-revs. So if you really wanted to use the gearbox concept on electric motors, you'd want a high ratio for low rev to leverage the torque, and a low ratio for high rev to mitigate the absence of torque... which obviously goes against the purpose
A gearbox on an electric car is just marketing... looks good tho, and the traxxas guys love it (see?

)

I think I'll test it! Not denying your facts or anything, I'd just like to see if it makes any difference in top speed. And I'll report back to you guys with the info!

It's a set of JG Man. Truck Body Adaptors, from the pictures I have seen you bolt them to the shock towers, can can use something like an RC10T body or so, or if in my case, ill probably use this.

Just ordered a Cheapo 13t motor, and a 320a esc, which says it can handle 16v (4s RC10 Anyone?) I was just going to run a spare LiPo I have sitting around, but I cant remeber if its 2 or 3 cells, so I'll have to look.
Also got some Deans Adapters to change everything on the car. Gonna test my soldering skills for sure!
