You have an excellent blend from original finish to the completed part. Very nice OEM appearance.

I've always had some difficulty in trying to get a nice finish on parts (nylon ish) after modding.
The flat/satin look is spot on. Media blasting?
And, will you or did you bond the two pieces or is it cosmetic?
The devil is in the details....

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, it can be difficult to match the finish of plastic parts after cutting them. For these, I had to try and match the radius and then the finish. I use different files, sandpaper, and grits to try and match the finish. Sometimes some heat can help.

The cf pieces are fit in very tight and then epoxied from underneath.

A few more choice parts have arrived. I now have 90% or more of the parts I need for this build. I just need to send out the chassis for anodizing, and then work can begin.

A huge thanks to Jon Cook for gifting these amazing Five Stars roll bar and bumper foam. I think I have decided on a black and red color theme, so these will be perfect!

I think I am finally getting close to starting this build. I have a few more parts coming, and then it's go time!

I think I'm set for one ways, lol.

These cars are so cool, love it when they have the four stroke mounted in them. Never had the opportunity to see one in person but would love to see and hear one in action.

I think you have to see one of these cars in person to fully appreciate them. They are quite large. Lots of detail in the cars and their bodies.

This latest parts haul means I can start building soon!

I have always preferred the shape of the FW03 top deck over the FW04. I decided to modify mine to sort of match what I like about the FW03 shape. The 3 cut outs also match the cutouts in the chassis.

Because I am using the Futaba Controlblock instead of the stock battery compartment, this change in shape shouldn't be a problem.

Some final parts arrived today. Some of these may end up on my eventual FW03 build. These Five Stars helical cut gears are uber rare. I am very excited to have them.

As soon as I finish with polishing & coating the chassis, I can finally begin this build.

Some more Superten parts goodness has arrived. I'm excited to find these wheels. They, and some of the other pieces will be going on an eventual FW03 build.

Definitely looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. Awesome collection of parts so far.
