Thanks! I've been working on this one a little bit here and there over the past couple months. Time to catch up on updates.

I began mocking things up after the previous post and I liked how it was starting to shape up.

But I quickly noticed that there was way too much flex in the front of the chassis / nose plate to maintain any sort of reliable belt tension.

I figured I give brace tubes a shot.

There's a bit more tweaking needed to get the tubes fitting the way I want, but I think this will work out very well. It's nice and sturdy now. Plus, I can adjust belt tension by using spacers similar to the MIP 410 Legend.

I'm now working on the steering. I don't like the position (height) where it sits using the standard nose plate. I'll be trying this using a Worlds style nose plate and mounting the steering directly to the chassis.

Thanks for the updates. It's really looking sharp. Would the A&L bellcrank give you the necessary clearance since it nixes the top ballcup linkage and uses a lower rack?

those braces need to turn into a roll cage and nerf bars too. 8)

Thanks!

The A&L steering was what I'd planned to use originally. I had Jeff make me an undrilled CF cross link for it as I was going to modify things a bit. But I figured that I'd go ahead and give the ten4 kit cranks a shot. They should work just fine. I just didn't want the steering links up that high.

If that doesn't get your hobby pants tight, I don't know what would... Looks awesome!

This looks great! I think the A&L chassis was a great choice.

Thanks, RR!

I've made a bit more progress over the past month or so and this build is finally (mostly) in roller form. I decided to mount the steering directly to the chassis and go with the black ReRe Worlds nose plate. Once I had it on there, I liked the black versus the stripped alloy look I was originally planning to use, so I swapped the motor mount as well. I may end up polishing the edges of the alloy plates.

I used a set of B4.1 style shocks - .89 front and 1.32 rear.

The roller:

My battery plan has changed as the shorty battery I was going to use just isn't going to fit. The height is a tad too tall, but the bigger issue is the connector that falls directly under the belt. There's just no way to get one under there. So, I need to find a battery that'll fit lower and / or has the wires all on the passenger side.
