For a shelf Queen then the right parts are more important even if they are no longer servicable but for a runner I feel it's a bit more flexible .

Bit more progress. Wing has been borrowed from my RC10 original racer just to get this up and running. Battery position is sorted and the rest of the electrics are going in today (hopefully), for a first-time spin on track over the weekend

It's a bit feather light!!

that is really cool. That lightened battery box is so 80! I love the whole car. It's awesome you found your very own after all these years!

Thanks Lonestar. This has been a great build with a lot of memories associated with it. Just got to see how it runs now. Our Meteor was always quick (and sturdy!) BITD
My dad used to lighten everything, so the battery box is reflective of that!

Love it!
Back in the day we made/modified things ourselves. Today... dudes just buy all kinds of anodized parts to look cool.

Looking really good , I can't tell from the pictures is there a slight angle to the chassis at the front suspension or is it flat ? If you angled it how did you do it ?

There is a slight kick up. I sent the aluminium original off to Fibrelyte who copied it as best they could.
