Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
here is a little more info on these 4 or 5 chassis: Sorry I have no idea if they have them. I don't have any contact with Jack or Jon. I'm pretty sure if Jr. had one, it burned up in his garage fire a couple years ago. I heard he lost all his r/c stuff back then. iam going to say it either jack or johns car i won off ebay.

Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
i know now by looking at the car close those aluminum parts painted black are the frt arm mounts in/outside. where these ever made in aluminum?? the other one is the inside rear arm mount. i think i got my answer but mine are a little different. http://www.ebay.com/itm/kyosho-lazer-zx-alloy-arm-bracket-set-blue-/331423228298?hash=item4d2a5d218a:g:XxIAAOxyM89Sc3oM

Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
here is the chassis i won off ebay. the last owner i bought it from upgraded the steering setup since the orginal one was broken and also added rare team line front spindles.

Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
Nice find wouldlove to have one .....
actually the chassi makethe optima mid custom body sit better on the car (since the original zx body was not that popular)
since the zx standard chassi is more bulky at the front due to breakeage behind the frontgearbox not a problem if youre a good driver.
anyway since dunn is/was sutch super excelent good driver he cut his front section off so he could tilt the gearbox securing it with only 2 screws in tha back and went out and won the nats with it.
usually mods from back in the days is the home made bumper and the front hingpin retainer in grp
just fun stuff mark pavidis before his yokomo days used to drive lazer and drove an box stock lazer to an impressive finnish ...

I almost put my bids on that lot, but I figured the chassis for an hpi. It went pretty cheap too!

Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
little update on that 2nd prototype chassis. decided to make it into a dunn zx replica. made the frt shock tower close to his "rocker" design, and used the new style puretech battery straps. body almost done.

Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
Some alloy items look proto but distortion may just be the reason but the towers could well be proto. The pivot block mounts arent.hugger19 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2016 9:44 am will post up pics of car later on just need to convert to the prototype chassis, for now some parts pics. 1st pic is all the extra spare parts that i will be selling and the 2nd are the parts i kept. in the 2nd pic those three parts at the bottom right are made from aluminum. they might be one offs???DSCN5869.jpgDSCN5871.jpg
