I'd probably leave it alone also, except for maybe emptying the shocks, so they don't make a mess on whatever the car is sitting on.

I think I would put a pair of spring cups on the front though. But in the condition of the plastic already on the car. Other than that I'd leave it be.

I would leave it. BUT, maybe take inventory of what he used and maybe trace the chassis, shock towers, etc for people who may want to cut their own?

I'm with these guys, add some well used lower shock cups, drain the shock oil (but leave residue so they are lubed) and store in a nice low oxygen environment.

Come on.... add some gear, and take it out for some vintage racing!!! Nice big brushless, shorty LiPo, some 2.4G gear... this would be awesome to see out on a track!

Now I'll go take my medication...

A rare occasion for me...leave it as is  . I think I agree with Jason though about the spring cups. That would bother me to no end!

Congrats on the great buy. Am glad that it went to one of the true collectors on the board here. And a special thanx for sharing with us 8)

I think Phin is correct with the 1989 estimate. Based on the tires, prototype wheel adapters, body and wing; I'm guessing it was his Australia practice car. That would explain why the front of the body is so narrow. He probably cut it to fit the stealth car, then mounted a new one for the race.

I wonder why the reversed rear bulkhead? Seems like a lot of work just to get the rear shocks to move in-line with rear arm travel. Interesting.

The laydown front shock tower he used would've needed the body cut narrow in the front too.

This is the only crappy pic I've seen of one of those cars with a body on it. It's yellow though.

The '89 Reedy car used a green wing but there were no pics of the body. The wing on the Reedy car is different than the one on Asso_Man's car.

What a fantastic car to add to a collection.

I wouldn't change a thing on it. A quick little clean, but otherwise put in the showcase as is.

Thank you for sharing with us.
