It blows my mind at all the options technology has offered in just the short time between joining this forum and now. I never would have guessed the technology would come so far so fast. It seems like cheating.

Playing around with some concepts for a front shock tower. Jeff and i discussed tonight and we agree we would like to keep the tower in the stock location, i.e. behind the shocks, so it still looks like a "proper" RC10.
Just messing around, here's what I've come up with.

looks like it can clear the body nicely with a little more work (the body is sitting a little high in this picture).

I think if we tilt the transmission back an additional 15 degrees or so it will lower the top of it enough so the body can sit down all the way. The nose brace tubes could run through holes in the tower. The transmission could bolt to both the nose plate and the tower, making it pretty strong.

When you tilt it back will it still clear the steering ??

Can't wait to see the final product

That would be cool if you could keep it stock looking like you have it mocked up now. I am impressed that it is this far along already.

I'm sure we're going to have to make custom steering to fit everything up there, but it should be doable.

The work everyone is doing using the 3D printer is simply amazing!

But you guys have left us all with a difficult decision on which car to build.

How are you going to hold the front tranny in place to the shock tower.
