ok you guys are gonna kill me but i have a stash of thorp 64 pitch tranny gears. i have aqquired most of them from oval racers, ebay, and my original set i bought back in the 90's. i also have the 2 losi 64 pitch truck and buggy sets for the xx trannys. i have 3 different types of thorp topshafts w/ original packages, standard steel, black anodized hardend aluminum, and 2 piece. the 2 piece topshafts were sold with just the steel gear and designed to be used with a losi hydradrive thorp even sold a hydradrive shaft.
the sets i got from oval racers were modified, some have been lightened by drilling or slipper threads cut off. i even have 2 sets that have been narrowed in a lathe like the speed racing gears that are currently sold. i have both typs of idler gears too nylon w/ steel shaft and all solid nylon.
the aluminum topshafts had 2 sets of cross pin holes to use the standard slipper or the further out hole was to be used with losi lrm gears that had the notch for the pin and didn't need an adapter.
and on a down side i have destroyed 1 set of narrowed gears while racing last year. i stripped the idler and took 3 teeth off the diff gearin my truck, and just last friday i snapped an aluminum topshaft in my edm, both while running stock motors.
my 2 current weekly racers have 64 pitch trannys and i have 2 back up trannys as well along with some spares here and there.
don't get me started on aluminum outdrives and steel mip litedrives either, i also have them.
