Where did you get your replica rubber bands? I heard some place in Canada repops them, but they only fit a 1.9 wheel now.

Ha, funny enough, I put bands on my yoke 1.9 wheels to fit my tires for my build.

In my first post, I said this would be sitting on my shelf in 2019. So, I figured I'd better get going on it.

I've been slowly collecting parts for this. Other than bearings, some hardware, a couple hinge pins, and a diff rebuild kit, I have basically everything to make it a roller. Since I had to dye some parts red for one of my Masami replicas, I got the trans case done for this one right away. And then, Moved on to the Shapeways parts....... which I was kind of dreading. I'm not super happy with how they turned out, But they're not bad.

So on to a little bit of the mock up so far.

I recall there were durability issues with parts made by Shapeways US facility. Do you know if they ever got that sorted out? Are you building a runner?

Nah, this one won't be run. But if I wanted to run it, I would have bought all of the "race" parts for it. These are all the "replica" pieces.

I'm not sure on the US durability end. The parts definitely feel fragile. But I'm sure the process/materials will get better over time and the parts will become stronger.
