i've grounded myself. my last action was the vonats. no new purchases.

we had our second child on oct 22 and funds are tight!

luckily i do have quite a few projects to keep me busy, most parts onhand too.

My g/f gave me the 2 car garage as my man cave. I ground myself. cause it takes money away from the volkswagen build. (which could of been done a long time ago cash wise) but those damn good deals and parts at discount come up that you are afraid wont happen again cause parts are 20+ years old.

Rc work desk and shop wall/ to work bench and tools.

My man cave. (course everything i own is in the garage, only thing in the house is my cloths and pet snake.

Since more cars are gettign to almost roller status, needed to clear room for more boxes of stuff and more builds. do what i can on things as i search or see what else i need since so many builds going on. easier to make lists, especially when sitting there and just want to wrench to wrench. (my anti drug)

If it gets delivered on Monday or Wednesday she never knows about it because I get home before her, the problem is the rest of the week she gets home before me. She never has grounded me but has laid a good guilt trip on me at times. Its never stopped me but it does slow me down from time to time.

Guess I should have added a disclaimer NOT to Google image search that unless you want to be scarred for life (it's similar to farmer's RC-10 pic, but worse. Much worse. Much, much worse.).

I told the wife I had just one more order to make this week and I got the look. She knows she's losing an uphill battle. Gotta love her.

Hey Jim, I just noticed your handle, another thirdgen guy!! I haven't been on that site much in the last couple years. just pop in from time to time to see if anything is new and exciting.

haha, yeah, I haven't been there all that much either. My thirdgen projects pretty much stalled after I got the IROC motor swapped into the GTA and promptly ruined my brand new Vortec heads by overheating the car the 3rd time I drove it. I've had a Grand Cherokee apart in my garage (next to my IROC which is still apart) for a year now, so the GTA sits in my carport. :(

If my wife only knew I'm about $50 over budget on the kids RC10GT present.. I'd have to get the other 2 kids more stuff.. shhh.. my secret..

ugh overheated, that sucks. I haven't been on much since I got the iroc running, and then got the GTO. Iroc runs but leaky t-tops keeps it inside most of the time.

sorry for the derailment of the thread. If I don't ground myself AND the wife, we would be flat broke.
