I was thinking about it today. It's very humbling when I think about those who serve or have served and those that are no longer with us. Gets me every time. OK then.

Wow. Thanks so much for the chance to win. A PowerClutch is a swell prize. I know I don't deserve it.

Hey, thanks again everyone.

Thanks Rod for volunteering prizes and giving back to our military! I am really honored to have won a prize and congrats to the others! It's a real privilege to be apart of this great forum and hanging out and sharing the love for this hobby.

Thanks again and to those that also donated prizes! This Forum really has some class act members! :D

Amen, brother. My family has a long tradition of serving in the military; my father, both grandfathers, innumerable uncles, cousins...in every branch of service, and in every conflict all the way back to the American Revolution. We wouldn't have the awesome quality of life and opportunities that we do today, without the service and sacrifice of all the men and women that take on that responsibility.
Because of health issues that I've had since childhood, I wasn't able to serve, but I'm now an officer in our local Sons of The American Legion - a way I can give support and thanks to our vets. If you ever find yourself with a couple bucks that you'd like to see go to a great cause, please consider the S.A.L. Unlike many "charities" these days, every single penny we receive goes directly to benefiting military personnel, or related activities in our community. You can specify a certain fund also...my favorite is S.A.L. for Soldiers. Every month, we send big boxed care packages to every soldier from our local area that is stationed overseas, whether in a conflict area, or at a base in a ally country. At Christmas, the local school kids hand-make ornaments and we send those in an additional package with lots of other goodies to each soldier also.
It's damn important that our guys and gals in the service know we care and appreciate what they are doing.
So thanks to all of you!
