Proper TQ wheels and shocks installed.
Now to figure out the steering  I'm using the first batch of bellcranks and need to do some trimming

Looking great!!!

For a sport version... "IF" AE had committed to the Stealth as a production kit, I'm guessing they would have adapted the new suspension to the tub. The tooling and production was already in place and would have been less expensive than retooling to manufacture new fiberglass chassis plates.

So, I imagine the carbon version would have been their flagship. The sport version would have the tub with the adapted new suspension (10T nose plate and bulkhead with trimmed rear end similar to the RPM 'worlds' conversions). This would have provided the best price compromise on their part while allowing them to commit to the new suspension molds.

i don't see a tub version of this car. i think it would've been more like a pan car, graphite and fiberglass versions.

team:

uni's, team coated shocks, tq wheels, bearings, viper body

sport:

dogbones, gold shocks w/ plastic caps, 3 piece wheels, bushings, protech 2 body

The g10 would be much easier. I'm really debating- but that's ok cause it will be a bit!

Uni's....the team buggy came with but the first truck didn't....and Masami ran bones for some reason...that's why my team has bones. Well, that and the fact that I don't have any uni's laying around

i'm just looking at it from a team car / c.e. kit aspect.

I ended up with a 6-10rv as it fits the era. Kinda big, but it fits. This is the last set of pics until I can round up a body

+1

But it'd need to be that black fiberglass that was used on the RC10L3T Sport and the T2, B2, B3 composite shock towers.

Killer build..... I'm just trying to get my head around what's involved with a Nix/CNCrc Stealth car build.... & people are already playing with variations :D

P.S; re; the fibreglass/carbon options for a theoretical sport/comp kits - can you mould the required kick-up in G10/FR4?

Kyosho had FRP with kick up (pretty sure it wasn't carbon anyway) but I've never seen an American supplier bother. It's just as labor intensive as making carbon, so at that point you might as well just lay up carbon. If I go that route I will use an aluminum nose plate, likely a modified 10t plate

What about an alum- non tub chassis. If it has the upper brace it doesn't need to be a tub.

A T2 tub may not be chronologically accurate, but it would definitely make it look a lot more "production" than prototype. Along with black plastic parts(I know I know), T2 rear hubs and black shock towers. If the stealth car made it to production much sooner(rather than waiting till the B4) it would have probably resembled the T2 more than anything else.
