Can anyone tell me if i can put on another slipper so i can use gears from modern cars etc?

It drops right into your TRX1 tranny and uses the Associated slipper parts, pads and gears. You will need to remove your idler gear from the factory top shaft and install on this. Very nice product and well worth the money. Will give your TRX1 a proper slipper. You could even use the VTS slipper if you wanted as well.

That buggy is looking nice. How is the body fit? You mentioned it was a TBG repro, yeah? I'm always looking for another TRX-1 body.
Thanks

I think the body is great and now u can use your esc on the chassi instead of the rear tower. TBG has this one and the original shaped TRX1 body to choose from.

Re: Tomas TRX-1 Vintage race machine:)
Cool TRX1
that's the TBG S&K repop, right? It looks good, actually
And I second Seabass here - being able to use a modern B4 slipper on the TRX1 is great, because the stock slipper is, let's face it, very suboptimal...
Keep it up and shoot videos of it when done!

Hi, it would be awesome if you can find the link for the wheels, very much appreciated.
Is there anyone that know anything about drive shaft compability, replacements from newer cars etc? mine is pretty worn so i need to replace them soon.

Re: Tomas TRX-1 Vintage race machine:)
you can still get traxxas universal joint sliders, they haven't changed. the axles you may have to find a trx1 style on ebay or the like, maybe bandit axles? the other thing you can do, if you want to make a set pretty bulleproof is to take a 5mm axle that is longer from some vehicle, and add those metal u-joint drive cups like you would use on the trans outputs, so in effect, you have metal yokes at both ends. I never stripped the plastic off the stock axles, but maybe just need to remove the plastic yoke and the stock axle would be good to use?
they are around, have to check the international shipping:

Re: Tomas TRX-1 Vintage race machine:)
jwscab,
Thanks again! The stub axle you linked has an horrific shipping quote to Europe. 24USD. Well i can try the 2753X axles instead to see if they fit.
Need to test this car soon to se if it will hold up.

Re: Tomas TRX-1 Vintage race machine:)
after posting that link, and looking around, those are readily available in many places, as it was used on a bunch of traxxas vehicles. so you should be able to find a set with more reasonable shipping, for sure.
