Good to know. Do you know if there is a chassis protector specifically for the xx-4 or do you have to use an Associated protector from another model? Also, my research indicates that the xx-4 was released 1997. If so, why is it allowed to run in the pre-1994 VONATS?

They only 4wd Buggys before the xx4, raced competitively, were mostly Yoks & Shueys.
I've noticed how truly rare those parts are. The xx4 still has a ton of parts available, so I think that may have been the reason for the exception.
Plus, the xx4 was a game changer for the 4wd class, in the US, and has a solid cult following.
