Since it was a craigslist reply with the anonymous email, pretty sure she is surfing the casual encounters

Super Clean took the paint right off, washed the plastics and started sorting. I had a few new pieces so into the project bin goes the old stuff. I'm not too short of another car lol!

Re: Turbo Optima Craigslist find- project: return to stock
The superclean did a pretty good job on the body as well, I am quite impressed, no scrubbing, the paint just fell right off. It did take an overnight soak though. Now that I know it works, I need to soak the whole thing
It appears that Castrol is no longer the manufacturer, it is actually marked as super clean as the brand now.

Can you post some more details on the Superclean? Where did you get it, etc?

Re: Turbo Optima Craigslist find- project: return to stock
I've bought it at Canadian Tire in the automotives section here in Alberta...but as Jeff said, it's no longer branded "Castrol"...it's just called "Super Clean" and is in a large purple spray-bottle. I think this is the stuff:

Nicely done. $100 got you a classic Kyosho, a sweet pit box and a nudie pic. Best deal ever.
BTW, the car looks like it cleaned up great. Should be an awesome rebuild.
