Quite the globe-trotting 10T! Nice find there - glad to hear it'll be a shelfer 

Wire wheel, some fine sand paper (1,200-1,500 grit), then Birchwood-Casey cold blue. I have redone many steel turnbuckles this way, they come out looking virtually new. Be sure to sand them, though; the wire wheeling will polish them, some spots more than others, and they won't take the bluing evenly.One question concerning the turnbuckles: how could I clean them? They are rusty....

That sounds interesting, maybe someone could give me a link?
I also thinking about spending a new chassis to this truck, there are actually some nip b stamp chassis on ebay, then I would start another project with this chassis plate.
