Innovative approaches to adjustment influencing a competitors design, of course...that's almost natural selection. The Lazer series have had adjustment "slugs" for the toe and rake way before the Rango', as have many 1/8th scale cars and 1/10 -1/12 pan cars...touring cars etc. There is a Rango' copy out there for sure, but I don't know if I would say it's the B5.

I did think about that when I started, but I didn't know where else to put it. I figured Someone would move it if it wasn't ok. :)

It is however still an RC10,

Just to put it out there, should it come up... If this topic page is for RC10 only, then there is a whole lot of B2, B3... And most likely soon to be B4 stuff coming... So maybe something else more dedicated is needed?

The "Tech" forum slated for anything "new", ReC10's aside. I was going to move it later (just trying to keep any "clutter" down from the intended forums), I just hadn't done it yet  It has the same "active topic" presence where ever it is anyway. Soooo in 3...2...1....

Although not vintage, some day it will be. I feel if should stay because it is the history/evolution of the RC10, but that is just my opinion.

I see it just got moved to "tech"! Who will move it back in a few years? You see what I mean?

Nice photos of the build btw! 8)

Schumacher used inserts for adjustments 20 years ago. History repeating.

I agree with Rod. So, can I start a B4.2 build thread in the RC10 section? I still have all the pics from that build. :)

I PROMISE to move it in 15 years (when I expect that they retire this version :P ) as long as the thread stays active. Honest, pinky swear. You can double-dog-dare me...I triple-dog-dare you.

I for one, want to see more of the build!! (and hear a track report)

if it was up to me alone, this place would be along the lines of this. just change the year to 1994... maybe '95.

http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=831254

now i have always said, as long as build threads of modern cars are few and far between, i can look the other way. but if it starts to become a habit, especially when they're by guys that aren't even here for the vintage aspect, it's gonna start being addressed.

Why not start a single "New Car Tech" section stashed away somewhere? That way those who don't want to look don't have to, and those that are interested can. Remember many of us have been racing for a long time. RC tech always comes up but I'd rather talk to like minded people. As this is a vintage forum I think a "New Tech" secion would remain small.

When can I post pics of my full aluminum T-Maxx :?:

My intention was to start a thread to show what all is new with the new RC10. It seems to me that the car is an RC10 and this is RC10Talk?

I personally think that if you want a forum for the original rc10, them topics of other cars should not be allowed at all also. To me, this forum has evolved into more than just early era RC10 and not allowing an RC10 build in the RC10 area just seems, I don't know, silly? Especially when "RC10Talk" has Kyosho, traxxas, yokomo, tamiya, etc dedicated areas. I would bet if I started a RB6 build in the "Kyosho" area, this would not even be much of a discussion. Of course now it would be easy to tell me otherwise. :)

We always hear people talking about how they wish the local track would run a vintage class... Or how it would be great for big races to enjoy it... But we don't see that because we sit in the corner of the internet by ourselves talking about how it was! At some point if we would like to see vintage classes get big or at least some exposure, then we need to start including it in the modern market. To me sometimes it seems some people are content with the corner of the internet.

That's how I see it.

Oh... And since I have looked and don't see it, where is this "Rule" written? Just wondering? :)

I don't know... If Losi, Kyosho and Yokomo re-invent old technology that changes the market in a couple years, It could be short term... And now you have to think of Serpent and XRay as players too. Especially XRay, they come out with new cars every two months, :)
