I sincerely appreciate you taking the time.
.....n you've done it before...so thank you again..

Yeah...lol..I think there might be a lil too much torque in there.
.....n it was recommended to me by the owner of a hobby shop....I'll have to give him a pass cause I like the guy, but I won't be asking him for motor recommendations anytime soon.

So, if my temps are alright, I can go to a ratio of 3:1 (spur/pinion) ?? That sounds good to me, cause I just have unessesary torque right now...and a lil extra speed is always fun.
It's like I see in the manual that it recommends a 18t pinion for the 81t spur......then I'll search some forum on the subject as see someone asking about gearing their B4 for example....and one person will say 17/81 and anothr will say something like 33/74......It's seems like such a big difference, it throws me off.

Lemme ask you....cause I know you know what you're talking about...(bythe way, you were on the money with your calculation when you said I'd be running pretty close with the "bus's" running on 3s)

With what I'm running, how would you gear it.....not for racing on a course....just for letting loose in a parking lot, baseball diamond, park...etc....

With the little I've learned recently and seeing how you would hear that motor would help me slowly start putting the pieces of the puzzle together on the topic.

Your running 23*81 now...I wouldnt go over 27-28 tops (hits your 3:1 ratio), or drop to a 78 and do 26-27 tops.

Heck, if your feeling dangerous, try a 30...BUT ::warning:: if something lets out the magic smoke...I told ya so!!

Its all for fun, just drop the hammer and let the short bus's have it.
