For me, I think it has to be the yr f2. I prefer the special.
Nothing like it and gained a notoriety (exaggerated or not) that can't be compared with the buggies
out there.

Re: Favourite Yokomo and why?
Good call - always intruiged by this bizarre chassis & always regret never having brought one, they seem to fetch big $$s these days, but I can remember the model shop that supported the winter series in which I was racing (DMS Racing) selling these off cheap as there really wasn't any class to run them innaushad wrote:For me, I think it has to be the yr f2. The only Yokomo i've ever owned is my Masami tribute 93WCS.... which after a long restoration I have never been brave enough to run the car.... so I've never in all my years of racing never driven a Yokomo... however somthing tells me that if I had ever of raced one Bitd the dependable Works91 would have been my choice

The 93 - because the shapes were simply so elegant; look at the front shock tower.
The MR4-BX - beautiful carbon fiber and blue aluminum everywhere. This is the last of the great Yokes before they went to composites and plastics for everything. The whole steering assembly is even CF and aluminum.

Great looking cars...definitely ahead of their times.
Post more please. Really like their design.

Glad to be back in this hobby so many many years later. To see new things and to recollect on ALL cool vintage models!

what you do you think vin? you think people's favorite buggies have changed in the past three years? i could see some of those numbers reversed with others.

Re: Favourite Yokomo and why?
Wow, did not realize three had past since that last poll was taken and it looks like the 94 YZ10 has increased in popularity.
The pre YZ-870c Yokomos I think will always remain popular with most members on this board but it is interesting to see popularity of some models shift with time.
And your favorite Yokomo Mr VETTE?
Vin

Re: Favourite Yokomo and why?
personally i like the last evolution of the yz and the mx4 (and the ymp millenium conversion). i also love the custom built hybrids. like yours. but i would pick the 834 because that's what sparked my interest in yokomo. the team was racing in a nearby town and nearly everyone had one. it was just the buggy to have at the time. never seen anything like it at the time. it was just bad ass.

Nice Dukomo.. I love the shock towers on it.. I am looking to make some shock towers with that configuration.. if you still have the towers, could you scan them for me so I could draw them up in cad so I can make a template to make them for my project? It looks great by the way..
