You are right it is not Jrx2 body no matter what there is written in Certifigate. Thank You Dan for looking the body so closely I was just about to order one.

It's even better...its a Jrx-Pro or Proformanace shell- hard to say until you see the trim lines.

To my eyes the most obvious anomoly with this repro is the scoop over the transmission which is completely absent from the original JRX-2 body (a quick Google search will prove this). Also, that dodgy certificate is just that....dodgy.......and it's supposed to prove what? That someone can knock up an official looking CoA with a fake signature??? I just don't think that Gil Losi Sr. would be in the least bit interested.....just my opinion though.

I had been told Gary was working on Jrx2 bodies a couple months ago. Looks like Gary maybe was mistaken on what he thought he had for mold.

As was pointed out a few times now, this is Gary Keyes. If you don't know who Gary is, then look at almost every factory Losi Racer and box-art paint schemes...then say thank you Gary. Seeing how Pop's Losi has signed and sold the very first XX-T off the production line, I don't see why he would not contribute to Mr Keyes endeavor, since they were also both part of (or actually were) Team Losi. This is not a JR-X2 shell though, it is a JRX-Pro or JRX-Proformanance kit shell, depending on the cut lines (if it's the latter, some guys will be CRAZY happy). Here is my new, un-cut Gary Keyes painted JRX-Proformanance shell for reference-
There is nothing wrong with skepticism, but if info is provided that adds validity, and people are still really skeptical, then they need relax and research.

While Mr Keyes is incorrect about the version of the shell (25 years later will do that) he may have the correct and original mold somewhere too, but if everyone hoot's, hollars and cry's foul...what are the chances that you'll see those shells made?

It was my understanding that the shells were originally produced by another company for Losi... which was how the Xcellerator & JRXPro shells came to being reproduced & sold on here some while ago - short production runs instigated by a member on here (BrandonG?), apparently pulled from the original moulds by the company that still holds them.....

BTW is that the Pro or Junior2 shell being advertised... deff not JRX2
Here's what I know. Rick found the guy in Texas that owned the mold (and was the original supplier) for the XXKE body (xcellerator). I found the source (manufacturer) for the jrx2 body...but they no longer knew where the mod was. They had about 50 original bodies that were sold to another party...which sold them on ebay 7-10 years ago. This same person also had over 100 jrxt decals but that was several years ago. That person was located in California.

So it's possible that there are multiple molds floating around...from 3rd party suppliers.

well seller states that gill did sign the cert and its not a copy of his signature. if it was $35 free s/h than i would buy one but not to into losi anyway. i see all 5 are still for sale.

One thing I have noticed over my 20 plus years in the hobby is that there is always skeptisicim before anyone looks into or does some research on the subject at hand.

Hello Everyone,

I am good friends with Gary Kyes, and i can vouch that these are from Gary and from an original mold. Also these are very much all signed by Pops Losi, Pops and Gary are still best of friends and are signed by him not computer generated. Gary brought some to this years Legends Gathering and they are amazing. Gary still does excellent work and this is a great opportunity to get something from a great artist that has spent his life in Radio Control and has made huge contributions to the Sport / Hobby.

Sincerely,
Romulus

Wonder if Gary still paints  wouldn't that be killer- a body made from the original buck, painted by a legend, and paperwork signed by another legend. Hmmm

Just got a message back from seller through ebay.

Said he will be pulling the auction, it is in fact a JRX-Pro shell from the original JRX-Pro mold.

He says he also has the original JRX2 Mold and bodies as well.

What I would give for a signed original JRX2 body to go with the NIB kit I just popped the shrink wrap on............ a boy can dream................. sign that f**ker right across the windshield. :)
