Is that a contender for the lightweight chassis thread? (what is the manufacturer of that?)

Lancia Beta body? Cool.

This is so cool to see! I registered here just to comment on this. The former owner of this car (Jimmy Simmons) is/was local to me, along with Chuck Baader. They were a couple of the fast group of oval racers that was from this area back then. I used to race carpet and paved oval myself at the time and had a chance to go to that race but unfortunately got sick and had to miss it :( I got back into the hobby early last year racing off road; I've been having nostalgia about my oval days so I've been trying to remember all the chassis from back then which led me to find this post after some searching. I'd love to find one of each of what I had myself along with some others like this that I heard of but it's nigh impossible to find anything oval racing from that era. I would've bought this thing in a heartbeat if I would've seen it at the time!

BTW here's the article from RC Car Action about that race. You can see Jimmy with the car on the lower right on the first two pages. Baader also made the invitational A Main. https://archive.org/details/Radio_Control_Car_Action_Magazine_1995-08/page/n33/mode/2up
