I was also thinking along these lines...if you decide to build it, you can create a thread and document the process, and we all can share some of your experiences and enjoyment vicariously. If it's sitting on a shelf collecting dust, only the collectors who share pictures of shelves filled with boxes will be impressed. I'll take gawking at a shelf full of built cars over a bunch of boxes anyday!

Build it, run it, have fun with it, take care of it, then when the tires are worn and the body edges are cracked, retire it to the shelf. Cars ought to have to EARN shelf-queen duty.

A hirobo belt drive car is a very special and different thing. Its worth running even if gently and infrequently. Dont get me started! I may go on a spending spree and start going after hirobo cars.... oh no...
