Also got a brand new #6131 body for it. Does anyone know what the body colors are from the original box? The one I am really wondering about is the red, it looks like candy maybe?

i think if it was candy, i'd be a little darker. unless it's backed with white. i'm thinking that pactra bright red. maybe.

Well, I still haven't figured out for sure what color it is, and now I am having second thoughts about the whole box-art idea anyway. I figured since the truck isn't in perfect condition the box-art thing may be kind of pointless. Not sure yet what I'm gonna do, but I am going to work on putting this truck back together tomorrow along with both of my buggies.

I've made some progress with this truck since my last post.
I decided to go with the Protoform Rambunctious GT body. I just need to find the old add that had the white and purple Rambuctious GT in it. I always loved the look of that body in that add.
I finally scored a NIB #7066 kit, so I am going to do the box art thing on that one.
This pic was taken a while ago. The truck has original narrow fronts, and something that resembles original rears on it now. I also put some white shock collars on it, along with white nylon nuts, shock ends, and bushings. I changed the springs to blue just for aesthetics. I added a six gear white spur gear. I would love to get an original white spur gear for it, but I think they may be the rarest Associated part there is these days.

I don't remember that. Something must have gone wrong or something, if I had known you had white spur gears I would have been all over them. I have been searching for white spur gears for years, had to buy a whole kit just to get one lol... Do you still have them?

NIP went to a local trader who just HAD to have it for his old truck of his dads and then ebayed it a week later

but think I still have the lightly used one...I know it was in really good shape. Looked like it might've had a tank of fuel on the whole truck that it came off of. I'll drop you a pm when I get to finding it.

Actually, noting new since I posted that last pic except that I did get some dog bones in it. I haven't been able to bring myself to opening that spur I got from you you. It's just so perfect, and still in the package, you know.....

I would really like to find a nice used one for this truck, and save that new one for my blue tub build, if I ever get all the parts to build that one, that is. I was thinking about tearing this one back apart and giving it the peroxide treatment. It looks pretty good as is, but I just did a bunch of other parts with the peroxide, and now I know that it could look better.

That peroxide trick is the best thing to happen since sliced bread.
I think I will put this one back on the RC to-do list and give it a peroxide bath. It needs a good washing anyway. I'll post some pics when I put it back together.

very nice, another member who is in to the Rc10GT too
i have a few, one is modded pretty good.i get all kinds of funky looks when i take it down to the local track. its a shame the rc10GT is not as popular as it used to be. ill always be a huge fan of the GT
