Chad makes an aluminum D-shaped RC10/Kyosho Gold shock collar that we actually designed in my dad's machine shop about 20 years ago. He makes the exact same collars as I had on all of my sprint cars in the late 80s.

But like I said before, if there is something specific you'd like Chad to make for you, just send him drawings. It's not cheap, but you'll have what you need. And that's in nylon, delrin, aluminum, carbon fiber or anything he can machine.

HUH??

I get all the balancing stuff and so on.

but aren't the front truck arms LONGER than the rear truck arms due to the narrow nose plate?

And isn't that also the reason for the PRM narrow chassis conversion! to line up all of the pivot axles?

That's why I don't get hoe narrow rear arms can help.

Maybe an rear rpm hack with b4 arms??

no, the 10t/gt truck front arms are 1/4" shorter than the 10t/gt truck rear arms measured from center hole to center hole. the rpm worlds arms have 3/16" difference between the two front to rear so when actually bolted to a truck chassis they would be 1/16" narrower in the front but close enough. the width of the truck front bulkhead pin hole to hole is 2 3/16" and with 0 degree rear arm mounts installed the hole to hole distance is 2 3/8" thats 3/16" difference front to rear. its a little difficult to explain without side by side pics of the 2 i am just going off of the measurements i have used over the years to build oval cars.

Question - Do people use the RC10T front bulkead with buggy arms? Do you cut the bulkhead for the arms to fit and if it is a shelfer do you leave out the aluminum stress bar?

Also, awesome car - are there pictures of the finished product posted somewhere?

Thanks,
Brian

these arms require the use of the 10t bulkhead, or the rpm worlds front bulkhead. the hinge pin brace no longer works with these arms as it's intended to on the 10t. the opening at the inner end of the arm is too narrow.

if you really want to run the front hinge pin brace you could file down the outside edge's of each arm and put it between the e-clip and the front edge of the arm. i have seen dirt oval guys run them on nitro latemodel conversions, like the one pbr allstar posted, mainly due to the increased speed and stress during a hard crash.
