I don't know what exact Kyosho they came off of, but can you use either of these? If so they're yours...though I'll need to harvest the ballstuds for my Bullet.

I may take you up on those, they aren't correct but they may work in a pinch. The right is optima and the left maybe outrage?

Its funny how the different models can share parts. Im discovering this by building cars with no instructions! They go together and work just fine. Pretty sure these pics of steering cranks has helped me to solve the same issue. Ill just see if the ones in hand will fit the posts...

You could also consider going with an alloy, ball-raced bellcrank like Tamiya #54235, it's functionally identical to that plastic unit shown above, on the right. All you need to add are 4.8mm ball studs on one side and 4.8mm threaded balls on the opposite side, and a servo saver on the servo. Just an idea if you're looking to upgrade or bulletproof your steering. I also think Option House or some other 3rd party company made a very rare gold alloy bellcrank for the Optima Mid or Ultima (not sure which), I have one of those units too...it's again functionally identical to #54235 and the plastic unit shown above on the right.

I can't identify too many Kyosho parts that aren't off a Circuit 1000 car.

Well, I have sourced a couple pieces- the car that I put together will get outlaw shock towers and long shocks, as well as the truck tires and wheels and Outlaw Ultima body. Basically it will be a racer version of the Outlaw Ultima.
I have sourced two Duratrax chassis, one for the best parts build, and probably one for the oval car. I'm tempted to cut a brand new chassis out with battery holes. We will see.
I am thinking the oval car may get some purple anno on the trans side plates and I will see if I can locate some metric aluminum nuts and washers.

I have a parts tree that's either Outrage or Ultima II, has solid upper links and the steering bellcranks and servo mounts on it. If it will help, it's yours.

The left is also used on the Lazer Alpha

They look identical with the exception of the center-link.

If the left one is made from the Lazer Alpha plastic, it will break before the servo saver gets a chance to act

DIRT OVAL for sure mach5. There are tons of DO RC10 builds on here, but I don't recall seeing any GOOD purpose built DO Ultimas on the board. I'd like to do one, too. I'm thinking an EDM would be awesome. As for the on road, that's a cool idea too. RCCA did a article on a on road conversion BITD (cannot remember the issue or the brand JG maybe?) but he did the Bill Elliot theme T-bird, w/ bbs wheels w/ foams. Looked REAL cool to me. I've been thinkning about an on-road Ultima, using cut flat plate chassis, and SM67 arms to narrow it up to 200mm. I think these arms will work, or can be made to, and THINK they'll narrow up the car quite a bit. Maybe do it as a mid too...

A mid ultima would be a bit tougher, as the gearbox isn't reversible....but.... I think with some work and an old optima gearbox......hmmmm
Flat chassis would be super easy, just need a wedge for the front bulkhead to add a little caster and I can make up some towers easy enough.

The trackmaster trans isn't reversible?
