Wish those aluminum R parts and front arms were still available on ebay. I don't recall the sellers name but they looked to be nice parts.

You and me both! If you search that guy's threads he has some incredible cars and pictures of them running to match. I have a youtube montage of them I put together with his permission a few years ago, but I can't access youtube at work.

Yup, that was it. My cousins did a Hot Shot with all their parts. There's a Buggy Champ in there too.

That's a beautiful example!

I recently found one of these on CL. Came complete with the Technigold motor and tires that have very little wear. So far I have torn it down for cleaning/inspection... it just needs a full set of lower control arms and a coil spring. The body is beat up but it is original, complete with the Rothman's decals. I'm still trying to decide if I should even be tinkering with this because I should be focusing on my Team Car.

The 959 is one of my all time favorites. It really started my love of the rothmans livery. I had a couple around the 90's. One to run and the other for parts. It was great to run but fragile. The front suspension arms and knuckles and front gear box mount can't hold up to much rough housing. They need to be gently run.

NowI have a new built 959 with an unpainted body and Rothmans decals that I'll eventually finish. I've recently picked up a nice used one that I plan to make into a runner. Complete with the Technigold, it hasn't seen much run time judging by the condition of the tires. I'll probably spring got a TBG body to freshen it up. The stock paper thin body is a little beat

shodog- would you happen to have any extra lower control arms laying around?

Sorry I don't. Even the lower control arms on this one have been glued so I'm in the same boat as you.

Those cars are awesome!
I don't suppose those 959 bodies are still available? One would go perfect on my nTC3 brushless/rally conversion!

Here's the real deal, I took this pic at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.

Shodog -
I´d keep that body, it looks very authentic.
If You display the car in a "tray" of sand, it´s going to look killer.

I know it´s not really Your style, but just this one :)

What control arms are You talking about? not the fronts I guess?

Sold the mustard yellow 959, so today I painted a new body for the runner.

It´s supposed to end up as Gulf livery

Are those aluminum wheels or are they painted to look like aluminum?

Plastic - I think they are Tamiya touring.
