they make square and cut ones like this
Yes, the dead giveaway is the V shaped rear lip and the angled side panels. It's similar to the wing I have on my Cardinal project right now (soon to change to an original Parma Monster wing), except mine is not the bi-level version.
Not to hijack, but we need progress photos Mr. Carter!

The more and more I look at the those photos JK, the more and more I wish I should have bought it. That is twice in two weeks!
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Completely tore down the car tonight (well, all but the stealth)....Traxxas front shocks & steering, guy used every type of nut/bolt/screw known, and of course, all in the wrong places...
Chassis was covered with protective tape at one time, I found the remnants under some of the screws. The bushings in the rear hubs are very old, and the axles are hammered. I have a box of RIT black waiting for all the parts this weekend, everything will be back to a "clean" black color. The front/rear bulkheads don't appear to be dyed, but have discoloration. Front carriers & steering arms are PAINTED purple...and he used left carriers on both sides??? I think this is going to replace my graphite chassis white CE car as a runner, and that one will be placed on the back burner for a while...I have some ideas for it anyways.

Best find (IMHO), the rear shock bushings are white...the only part that was missing from my Team Car shelfer. Since I will be purchasing a set of black for this car, it goes to the shelfer.

Acetone should sort out the purple paint and leave you with nice parts. I recently had a white bulkhead painted blue and it's now minty white. Good luck I sure think you have a nice project there.

Leave everythin white that you can imho.

BTW I second mrlexan and am looking forward to the Cardinal project gracing us with a visit again!

Finally I checked my Bud's wings last night and all three have no V and square sides can anyone say whether that's right or should they be cut like this or what?

The only white parts were the shock bushings...

The battery cup and RPM arms are neon pink. Soon to be black. I am 90% positive this is going to be my runner. Close inspection of the chassis shows it was run, just had chassis protective tape (which I will put back on). One of my other projects (all white 6 gear CE) will now move into the "shelfer" mode of thinking. I have some spare chassis (other than the graphite one) from some recent auction wins that make that possible. Stay tuned....

Would that be with the nose plate sitting flush to the chassis? In other words the mounting holes furthest from the tranny?

I am having a hard time explaining it, but mounting it in the holes which weren't used when it came?

I am just trying to work out the set-up for mine too.

Cheers

Short position. You'll have to drill the forward servo mounting hole through the nose plate if I recall.

Right? I shelved my tub World's 91 project in favor of the Graphite based conversion...which I haven't touched in months.

update time....amazing how you can go into a shop and ask for RC10 parts and the kids give you the "deer in the headlights" look...I say, show me some RC10GT parts, and zoom, he is right there.

anyways, after some front carriers, aluminum axles and steering blocks, some black RIT, a little dremel work on a spare piece of graphite, some Losi Threaded shocks....sorry for those on dial up...some spam

Update....and pictures tomorrow:

Got the 10T rear tower (Dr. Rob THANKS!!), put the correct length (yes, still Losi) shocks on the front, cut the chassis down (getting ready to sien-slam), installed the steering servo & Mamba 4600. I have a new (repro) Protech I that will be trimming up tomorrow, and gonna look for a yellow RPM front GT bumper to finish the yellow scheme. I might need a speedo tray once slammed, the heatsink on the Mamba looks to be to high. Thinking about a very plain paint job...just paint white. If not, I may just copy the paint on all my other cars.

More tomorrow.

Love that part, I've been running Losi shocks on almost everything I have owned since '87, so I got some extra shock parts laying around...

Truck front/Buggy rear bodies on all 4 (.9 length)
Front shafts buggy (.6) Rear shafts truck (1.2)
Yellow springs on all 4 (for now, I may go to pink in the rear, white in the front)
