As a footnote - on my birthday last week, before heading for a beer my 'better half' took me for a very nice meal at a nearby restaurant/gastro pub - The World's End.... now I knew that Model Car Racing used to take place in the grounds of the building, many years ago & was one of the pioneering clubs for electric off road racing here in the UK... but I'd never seen any pictures of this venue whilst a race meeting was underway, until I stumbed upon the below image showing a page from an old Model Cars Magazine;
