I totally agree. once the cups pop off....games over. I spent a lot of time researching and modifying my car to minimize ths from happening. I did the following:

shorten steering rack
raise the steering post
install rocket city ends

The top 2 were eventually done by losi. I even designed a new rack that should eliminated the poping issue complety...but i never got to fabricating it.

Only things not compatible with that chassis really are the original short and long jrx2/jrxpro style front shock towers unless you carve a large section out of the upper chassis brace.
